Omid first discovered his passion for Latin dancing when being introduced to the salsa scene of San Francisco more than 7 years ago. What started as a hobby soon developed to a passion, and he continued the exploration of different dance styles by travelling to festivals and congresses across the country.
Today Omid shares his love and passion for bachata by teaching classes and workshops and by directing the dance team Bachata Sentimiento. Omid also helps spreading the love for bachata by organizing and promoting Stanford Bachata Social and Bachata by the Sea, two of the largest bachata events in the Bay Area.
Omid has been part of multiple dance troops and has traveled to teach and perform on stage in many of the largest bachata festivals in USA, including Los Angeles, Reno, Hawaii, Dallas and San Francisco.
Omid has also been active in many large dance competitions. He has won the first place title two consecutive years in a row at the prestigious annual Alberto’s Bachata Competition, the largest bachata competition in the bay area.
